This celebrated coastal town is widely regarded as one of the world’s finest land-based whale watching destinations — between June and December, southern right whales gather in the sheltered waters of Walker Bay in breathtaking numbers, visible from the famous cliff paths or by boat out on the bay.

Those cliff paths are worth exploring year-round, winding above a dramatic coastline with panoramic ocean views perfect for a morning stroll or leisurely afternoon walk.  Verified Really lovely spot! Clean, comfortable and well equipped (and really stylish). 180° view of the ocean, we could even hear it at night! Deirdré was a lovely host, really responsive and friendly! They have 4-rooms with a lawn that has a communal braai area, which I think will be great for friends/families travelling together.

 Verified I really enjoyed my stay. The place was spotless, smelled fresh, and every little detail was thoughtfully taken care of—even the great shower filter!  Verified Deirdré place is peaceful and truely tries her best to make you feel like home with all the amenities. Attention to details is outstanding. We did have some issues during our stay but she resolved the issue promptly and provided us with alternative solution minimising our inconvenience as much as possible.  Verified Klar, ich formuliere dir das schön rund und natürlich auf Deutsch 👇⸻Wir hatten einen wirklich rundum perfekten Aufenthalt! Es wurde an jedes Detail gedacht – sogar frische Blumen standen bei unserer Ankunft bereit, was direkt eine sehr besondere Atmosphäre geschaffen hat.Zur Begrüßung gab es zusätzlich Brot und Butter, was wir als sehr aufmerksam empfunden haben. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist einfach traumhaft, und insgesamt lässt sich kaum etwas nennen, was man hätte besser machen können – es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt.Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist uns auch die Ausstattung: Heizdecken für kühlere Abende, ein sehr stilvoll eingerichtetes Apartment und endlich einmal ausreichend Ablagefläche im Bad – etwas, das man sonst oft vermisst.Der Host war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns von Anfang an wohlgefühlt und waren wirklich begeistert. Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft – absolut empfehlenswert!

 Verified Our stay at the fynbos suite in Onrus, was absolutely exceptional. The ocean views were truly impeccable, waking up to that scenery was unforgettable. The suite was beautifully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable short stay, making the entire experience seamless and relaxing. A special mention has to go to the shower, which was honestly incredible and added such a luxurious touch. Deidré and her son Edon were wonderful hosts, and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
